The bodies of a puppet and puppeteer may sometimes blend together. With Uteshitelny, the puppeteer's hands went through the puppet's sleeves and thus became the puppet's hands.
Description
A rectangular display case about 175 cm tall with a slanted top. Two sides of the case are black; one of them carries the white text introducing the exhibit. On the right edge of the same side, about 80 cm from the floor, are the exhibit number, the NFC symbol and a QR code — scanning it lets you experience the exhibition in an accessible way.
The other two sides of the case are glass, and the puppet can be seen through them. Depicted on one glass side is the X-ray image of the puppet inside the case, together with keywords naming the materials the puppet is made of.

Uteshitelny is a slightly frightening old man about 90 cm tall, with a shiny face and a bald head, sitting on a black case. He has brown, bulging eyes with slightly reddened eyeballs.
A wooden handle extends from the back of his head.
The puppet wears a grey-and-white checked scarf around his neck and a yellowish-beige jacket with two buttons, with a pocket on its left side. The jacket's sleeves hang empty at the sides. He has dark grey long trousers and light grey felt boots.
In side view, Uteshitelny appears in the X-ray image without hands. The outline of the puppet's face is clearly drawn. A long screw is visible at his forehead, and a safety pin in the middle of the shoulder area. The frame of the puppet's middle is formed of irregular crossing wires. In the middle of the body is a square plywood plate, and in the lower right part of the body a metal key is visible. Plywood can be found on the large demonstration puppet at number 3.
From the lower part of the torso extend two curved, bowed legs, attached to the body with clamps. The character's heels are metal and his shoes plywood.
You can find a tactile drawing of the puppet's X-ray image at exhibit 12, the light table.

The puppeteer puts their hands through the puppet's sleeves.
Now the puppeteer's hands are also the puppet's hands.
