As the character liked stealing, he was given arms that reach far to grab desired things. The flexibility of the arms is created by an accordion-like spring and a rubber band.
You may gently turn the puppet!
Description
A rectangular display case about 140 cm tall with a slanted top. Two sides of the case are black; one of them carries the white text introducing the exhibit. On the right edge of the same side, about 80 cm from the floor, are the exhibit number, the NFC symbol and a QR code — scanning it lets you experience the exhibition in an accessible way.
The other two sides of the case are glass, and the puppet can be seen through them. Depicted on one glass side is the X-ray image of the puppet inside the case, together with keywords naming the materials the puppet is made of. At the bottom of the side with the X-ray image is an opening with a disc that lets you turn the puppet.

Max the Burglar is a boy 60 cm tall, standing upright. His head is topped by a ruffled red tuft of hair made of feather boa, which you can find on the materials table, at number 23.
His round, shiny eyes are blue and his eyebrows purplish-red.
His otherwise pale face with a few freckles is slightly reddish at the edges of the ears, the nose, the cheeks and the tip of the chin.
The burglar's pink mouth wears a sly smirk. A wooden control stick extends from the back of the puppet's head.
Around the spring that forms his neck is a colourful scarf.
He wears a beige knitted jumper with one large wooden button. The puppet's thumbs are cockily stuck through loops at waist height of the jumper. The burglar has long brown-and-grey checked trousers and wooden clogs with heels.
Max the Burglar's X-ray image shows the whole puppet. Max looks up and to the right. One rod is stuck into the puppet's forehead, another extends from the top of his head.
Max's neck is formed by a long spring, showing bright white in the X-ray image, connected to the head by a metal ring.
The puppet's shoulder girdle shows brightly; attached to it with screw eyes are two arms made of springs. The spring can be found on the demonstration puppet at number 12, the screw eye at number 7.
The middle of the burglar's body and his legs are made of wider springs, joined together with rivets, a sheet-metal connection and clamps.
You can find a tactile drawing of the puppet's X-ray image at exhibit 12, the light table.

This character likes to steal.
His arms stretch,
because there is a spring and a rubber band inside them.
This way he can reach things far away.
Turn the puppet gently!
